Recent rumours flying around the internet suggest that Jamie Bell (Billy Elliot) is top of the heap to play Spider-Man in the Marc Webb directed reboot. There is still no word on who the big bad of the piece will be. However, according to it looks as if Michael Fassbender (300, Hunger, Centurion, Inglourious Basterds) could possibly be playing the costumed bad guy if he so wishes.
Going by the look of Fassbender we could try and guess what character he will be playing. John Malkovich was going to play the Vulture when Sam Raimi was still attached so it is possible that character could still be used. I could see Fassbender’s slim frame in the Vulture suit. Bleeding Cool who found the news via Showbiz 411 also mention Electro who could lead to great visuals on the big screen.
However, the original story mentions that Fassbender is choosing between the Spider-Man film and the new X-Men: First Class movie to be directed by Matthew Vaughn. James McAvoy is supposedly playing the young Charles Xavier so that could mean Fassbender has the option to play the young Magneto.
Whichever role he goes for Fassbender is a great actor and will give a fantastic performance. Which film would you want to see him in and if it is Spider-Man 4 what character should he play?
