Peter Jackson has almost agreed to direct the film, which will be in two parts, after Guillermo Del Toro left the project. He may not have to wait much longer.
Heat Vision have the news that Peter Jackson is in Los Angeles this week quietly meeting with actors. The casting trip, which also included stops in New York and the U.K. could mean that they are getting closer to actually making it.
Maybe we will get to hear who will be playing Bilbo Baggins at this years Comic Con.
