UPDATE: Some more photos from the film have been posted.
We had not seen Ryan Reynolds in a Green Lantern costume before now as it is all computer generated (photos have shown Reynolds in a grey suit with motion capture dots), but EW have the debut look at the CG suit.
My first impression was “Oh dear!” It is not quite how I imagined it, but being a long time fan of Hal Jordan I had visions of it being just like the comic book.
It does have an alien feel to it though and I do like the glow of it all. I can see why they went the CG route for the costume, but it does give an impression of being body paint especially the mask. Plus there are no white gloves, but I can understand that maybe looking a bit off in a live action scenario. Hopefully, some more photos will help it look less lika fan made photoshop job.
I will be positive though and say it is just the first glimpse of it and we will see much better photos of it before long.
What are your thoughts on the costume’s look? Better or worse than you were expecting? What would you do differently?
I also noticed the magazine cover mentions a sneak peak at the new Buffy – any ideas on that one?
