Who could the Inception people play in Batman 3?

Joseph Gordon-Levitt is rumoured to be The Riddler in Christopher Nolan’s third Batman film. He recently starred in Nolan’s Inception and the director does appear to like working with the same actors in many of his films.

With that in mind what other characters in the DC Universe could the actors of Inception play?

Ken Watanabe, Cillian Murphy and Michael Caine have already appeared in the Batman films. Who could Tom Hardy, Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard and Leonardo DiCaprio. Let’s have some fun with what if.

DiCaprio could play Oliver Queen / Green Arrow. The actors fight for what is right for the environment sit nicely with the character and chuck a goatee on him and you are there.

Ellen Page would make an excellent Robin (there was a female version in The Dark Knight Returns) and could actually make the character work. Failing that she could play Batgirl / Batwoman or how about Harley Quinn?

Tom Hardy with his willingness to change his bodyshape could play a number of characters – Deathstroke, Black Mask, Guy Gardner, Hawk, but I could see as Bane. Bulk him up and have the character the same as the comic and have him break the Batman.

Marion Cotillard. Imagine her has Catwoman. She would make it classy as hell and super cool.

You also have Dileep Rao, Pete Postlethwaite, Tom Berenger and Lucas Haas to choose for.

Just my thoughts and of course none of that will happen. It is just a bit of fun.

Let you imagination run wild. Who would you cast the Inception crew in the DCU?

    Ellen Paige as Poison Ivy. Less of an over the top plant woman, more of an environmental terrorist who extracts deadly poisons from plants. Maybe she even creates a new drug and sells it to fund her campaign.

    Marion Cotillard as Talia Al Ghul.

    Tom Hardy as one of The Terrible Trio! I think they could be made to work as minor villains in the Nolanverse!

    Here I got it. Not like I’ve put any thought into this:

    In the intrim between Batman 2 and 3, Batman has gone into hiding of sorts. Not fully gone, just taking a break to recoup and figure out his next course of action. While he is gone Vigilante comes in to fill in the gap left by the Batman. The difference is that the Vigilante kills the bad guys. Batman is getting pinned for the death’s of these people. Batman hunts down the Vigilante, and sees that the Vigilante is on a big case to take down Gotham’s biggest mob boss The Penguin. Batman says that he will help him, but he can’t kill anymore people and that once this is over Vigilante leaves Gotham. In everything The Penguin shows connectioins to tons of local officials (maybe including Gordon) and Batman exposes the whole currupt system.

    Joseph Gordon-Levitt as the Vigilante and Bronson as The Penguin.

    Have Pete Postlethwaite or Tommy B as some early Mob boss that the Vigilante kills and the blame gets put on Batman.

    Marion Cotillard could be some girl that Bruce knows who is getting sucked into the dark side by Cobblepot.

    Leo won’t do it, and no more Ellen Page, Inception was the only time I’ve found her tolerable yet at the same time she was laughable in that role.
