Nick Cave Drafted in for Crow Rewrite?
More news on director Stephen Norrington’s reboot of The Crow has surfaced this week. With an Eric Draven still to be found, singer-songwriter, author and screenwriter Nick Cave has been drafted in for a rewrite of Norrington’s script.
Having done great things with The Proposition, and the dark Southern Gothic of debut novel And The Ass Saw The Angel, maybe he’s the right man to bring a helping hand to the project. While Blade was a winner, and I will defend the hell out of Death Machine – if only for some classic character naming – I’m not sure if there are many people who’d like to see another Norrington outing of the League of Extraordinary Gentleman calibre. Hopefully Cave can take him back to better territory.
I could go off on a Cave-love tangent, but think that’s best reserved for own blog as I don’t want to unleash too much mayhem on the lovely Live For Films here.
All I know is that my excitement radar for this project is now in action.
What’s your verdict? And who would make the perfect Eric Draven?
