- Channing Tatum (GI Joe) will co-produce and star in The Contortionist’s Handbook, an adaptation of the Craig Clevenger novel. Tatum will play a forger who moves smoothly from one identity to the next because of a strict code of conduct that keeps him from getting caught or having to deal with his own troubled past. That gets upended when he falls for a beautiful woman with her own dark secret – Deadline
- Blake Lively (Green Lantern) and Scarlett Johansson (The Avengers) are in the running to star in Alfonso Cuaron’s sci-fi film Gravity opposite Robert Downey Jr. The movie’s plot revolves around astronauts repairing the Hubble telescope who are hit with an avalanche of satellite junk. In a plot akin to “Cast Away,” the surviving astronaut must fight her way back to Earth, where she hopes to reunite with her daughter – Heat Vision
- Cillian Murphy (Inception) may be starring in I’m.mortal. This is Andrew Niccol’s sci-fi drama starring Amanda Seyfried and Justin Timberlake. Murphy will play an officer from an organization known as Timekeepers and described as “precise as the time he keeps.” – Heat Vision

- Gerard Butler is to star as the coach in Slide, a movie about a father with a dubious past brought in to coach his son’s football team – LA Times
- 20th Century Fox has picked up Max Landis’ Chronicle. The story is described as a docu-style account of three Portland teenagers who become exposed to a mysterious substance in the woods and develop incredible powers. Initially using their skills for fun, personal and family problems end up turning them against one another. – Dark Horizons
- Elvis Presley’s granddaughter Riley Keough (The Runaways) is in talks for a role in George Miller’s upcoming fourth Mad Max: Fury Road.
- Scott Bakula says there will be a Quantum Leap movie. Bakula and Dean Stockwell will be in it somehow. Oh boy! – Blastr

- Reese Witherspoon will play singer Peggy Lee in an untitled biopic.
