The Governor’s Ball was a starry sight. Hollywood throws a party. ‘Nuff said. I met and spoke to Stana Katic, star of TV show, CASTLE, and told her how much I loved her in Frank Miller’s SPIRIT movie [she was my favorite part of the movie]. I have a very short list of who I would cast to play my very own Jane Legit character [Billy Dogma's better half] and Stana is on that list. Stana told me she was in the midst of creating a new comic book and was in talks to act in a movie version of Warren Ellis’ THE AUTHORITY.
This is the first I had heard of the comic book being moviefied. The original run by Ellis and Bryan Hitch was excellent. Here is a bit from wiki about it.

Warren Ellis had this to say about the whole thing.
I don’t own THE AUTHORITY, and DC are certainly not compelled to tell me about anything regarding the book.
What an odd thing.
If it is true then Katic could possibly be down for the role of The Engineer.
I would like to see a movie based on The Authority. It would be huge action with some nice moral ambiguity thrown in for good measure. It would all depend on who was directing it and who wrote the script.
Mind you maybe she has got mixed up with Joss Whedon’s The Avengers movie as her Castle co-star Nathan Fillion may have been talking about it a bit.
Has anyone in the movie biz heard anything more on this? If it is true who would you cast as The Authority?
