A few days ago word spread that Adrien Brody or Jonathan Rhys Meyers could possibly be Reed Richards in the rebooted Fantastic Four. Nothing more has come of that.
However, some rumours have surfaced regarding who could be voicing the all CGI Ben Grimm aka The Thing.
Favourite is Bruce Willis, who would be returning to his Look Who’s Talking voiceover days, and Kiefer Sutherland is a close second.
I am assuming that, as they are just looking for an actor to voice the role, we won’t be seeing a human version of Ben Grimm. Meaning we won’t get another origin movie for the team.
Out of the two actors mentioned I would be happy with either, but they don’t seem quite right for the part. Maybe Ron Perlman or Bruce Campbell would be better?
When the rumour came out about the possible Reed Richards casting I mentioned how Stephen Moyer from True Blood could be good for the role.
Turns out that he is being rumoured to play the part of Victor Von Doom (Doctor Doom) in the new version. However, MTV caught up with him and asked him what he thought about being Doom. He either knew nothing about it or was pretending.
CBM also have some rumours regarding who could direct the reboot – A-Team director Joe Carnahan, Harry Potter director David Yates, or V for Vendetta’s James McTeigue. I am undecided on any of them – possibly Carnahan as he did a good job with the foursome known as The A-Team.
All of these names are just rumours for the moment. When something more solid comes along I will let you know.
If it does come down to Sutherland or Willis to voice The Thing, who would you prefer to hear shout “It’s Clobbering Time”? Is there someone would would be better than them?
Would you enjoy seeing Stephen Moyer as Doom?
