Dune concept art for the film version that is no more

Paul Atreides, Usul, Muad’Dib, Agent Cooper or whatever the hell he wants to be called, would have loved these.

They are concept art from the comic book artist Jock (The Losers, Judge Dredd, 2000AD) put together while Peter Berg was attached to direct the new adaption of Frank Herbert’s sci-fi classic, Dune.

He left the project and Taken’s Pierre Morel folded space to take control of the film. However, he is taking a different approach to the film so, unfortunately it appears this art work will not see the light of a cinema screen.

It is lovely though. I really like the sand worms. Still, the spice must flow and all that jazz. Yes I did enjoy David Lynch’s version.
