Some interesting news has come to light from the New York Comic Con regarding the Deadpool movie which will hopefully still star Ryan Reynolds when they begin filming.
The news is all to do with what characters will be in it. If you don’t wish to know then look away now.
A number of characters from the Deadpool comic book series will be in it – Blind Al, Patch (not Wolverine’s alterego), Wyre, Ajax, Sluggo and Garrison Kane. Vanessa Carlysle will be in it as a love interest for Deadpool.
If you are not a Deadpool comic fan then many of those characters may be off your radar, however it turns out one of the X-Men will be in the film. It’s not one of the main movie ones, although they have been on the big screen. The mutant in question is Colossus, Piotr Rasputin. He has always been one of my favourites and he will be in a few scenes of the movie. Not sure if it will be the same bloke from the X-Men movies playing him though.
For those of you worried about the mess they made of Wade Wilson in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and what that will mean for the Deadpool movie, have no fear. That version of Weapon X will make a special appearance (well that depends how you look at it), but is dealt with in a very Deadpool kind of way according to Bleeding Cool.
