Sylvester Stallone’s sequel The Expendables 2 has had many rumours about who will be in it. Pretty much all of the original cast will be back (that includes Steve Austin) and speculation as to what other action stars will be appearing has been constant – Kurt Russell, Hulk Hogan, Dwayne Johnson, Charlie Sheen, Mike Tyson, Vin Diesel, Mr T and Carl Weathers are just a few of the names mentioned. Even Ryan Seacrest could be in it.
The big question is whether Jean Claude Van Damme will star in the sequel.
It turns out that Van Damme is up for a role, but only if Steven Seagal is not involved.
Director Sheldon Lettich has said that JCVD could be joining The Expendables 2.
“JC seems to be leaning towards appearing in the sequel, as far as I know…If Steven Seagal is not in the sequel. From what I’ve heard it, [Steven Seagal won’t be, not because of Sly, but because of producer Avi Lerner, who had a few bad experiences with Steven.”
Even before a script is finalised for the film we have our first battle!
