Jon Favreau has left the Iron Man films which means Marvel Studios are looking for someone new to step into the director’s seat.
Apparently Shane Black has been in meetings with the Marvel Men in Suits to discuss the possibility of directing and it is assumed he could possibly write it.
THR had the news and it is still very early days on this so it may not come to pass.
If it does though it will be excellent news. The reason being? Four words… Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. One of the best films over the past 10 years and Shane Black wrote and directed it. Robert Downey Jr also starred in that so if they get back together for Iron Man 3 I expect great things.
If they can get Val Kilmer in as Gay Perry then even better.
