Terminator Salvation was a wasted opportunity to reboot the franchise, but as we all know Terminators never die and never give up.
Fast Five director Justin Lin has been signed up by Universal to make a new Terminator movie.
He has already mentioned that he has been talking to Schwarzenegger about the film, “I think one of the great things is that when I got started, no one would return my calls, and now I get a lot of phone calls, which is good. I have options. Terminator was one of my favorite films growing up. And I feel I have a take that I would love to see, and I’ve talked with Arnold and we’ve talked and we’ll see.”
As Lin has worked with Vin Diesel a few times now the obvious question is will Vin be starring in the new Terminator film?
“Vin’s been a really great partner on this franchise”, Lin said about the Fast and Furious series. “We’ve talked about the mythology [of the Terminator series]…[pause] he’s a great guy and a great actor. I really like working with him so anything I do I usually talk to him about. Sometimes we even talk about going back and doing a little indy movie.”
Moviehole asked him direct about the possibility of Diesel actually being in the film.
“You never know” was Lin’s answer.
