A sad day for fans of the detective in the crumpled mac. Peter Falk as died at the age of 83.
According to his daughter, Catherine Falk, he passed away at his Beverly Hills home and had been suffereing from dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
Falk won four Emmys for his starring role in Columbo, and he was also nominated for two Academy Awards for his countless film roles.
Falk is survived by his wife Shera and daughters Catherine and Jackie, from a previous marriage.
