Last week’s Movies by Design post “A Different Type of Movie Poster” seemed rather popular, if the Twitterverse was anything to go by. So, I thought I’d stick with the theme of Typographic Design, but approach it from a slightly different angle.
I planned to write a big intro piece, enthusing about how clever and witty the work I am showcasing is, but to be honest, it seemed to make more sense to let you see for yourselves. Sometimes pictures really are worth a thousand words. So, here are some beautiful movie posters created by designers using typography only. Sadly, as these are designers’ interpretations and not official studio output, don’t expect to see anything like this in cinema auditorium anytime soon.
As a bonus I thought I would add the 3 Star-Wars characters made solely from letters & symbols. Although not technically film posters, they are to clever to be missed.
