Benedict Cumberbatch hit the big time as Sherlock Holmes in the BBC’s Sherlock (I can’t wait for the second series). He will be on the big screen in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Spielberg’s War Horse.
At the moment he is working on The Hobbit where he voices Smaug and possibly another character.

Insider news: Benedict Cumberbatch of the BBC’s “Sherlock” is being looked for an unknown role in a future Marvel Studios film.
There is the rumour and, at the moment, it is just a great big rumour. Then the guesswork comes into play.
If Benedict is being considered for a role in the Marvel Universe who could it be?
At the beginning of the month came news that Marvel Studios where pushing ahead with a film based on Doctor Strange – the one time Sorcerer Supreme of the Marvel Comics universe.
Put that piece of news together with the rumour and Benedict Cumberbatch would make a great Dr Strange.
