ELIMINATE: Archie Cookson, the UK debut feature film for Writer/Director Rob Holder, is to have its US Premier at the 34th Mill Valley Film Festival. This follows the film’s screening at the Montreal Film Festival in August 2011. Mill Valley Film Festival takes place 6– 16 October in California and is a world-renowned festival with a reputation as a filmmakers’ festival.
ELIMINATE: Archie Cookson has given the classic spy thriller genre a comedy twist whilst retaining all that is British in terms of visual and artistic style and reference. The film stars Paul Rhys (Being Human) as the eponymous downtrodden spy reduced to the role of linguist in a dusty government basement. His life takes a further turn for the worse, when stolen secret tapes land on his desk and Archie becomes the target of the frenzied hit man sent to retrieve them. The film also stars Claire Skinner (Outnumbered), Paul Ritter (>>) and Screen International’s Star of Tomorrow 2011 Georgia King.

“I am very proud to have our film selected for Mill Valley and I am excited to introduce Archie’s very peculiar world of British espionage to an American audience for the first time” says Writer and Director Rob Holder.
ELIMINATE: Archie Cookson was independently financed by UK-based Agent Pictures, and produced by Ioanna Karavela and Executive Produced by David Bunker. Rob Holder is currently working on his next project, The Hostage Protocol with Agent Pictures again producing. International sales are being handled by Seven and Seven Productions.
