So, I (Romy) attended the Montreal Comiccon. To say it was huge and packed is an understatement. It was a pop-culture specialist’s (me) dream. I got to breathe the same air as Stan Lee, Adam West (original Batman on the TV series), Burt Ward (original Robin on the TV series), James Marsters (Spike on Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Mercedes McNab (Harmony on Buffy – who I met!), Clare Kramer (Glory on Buffy), Dave Prowse (Darth Vader), Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett), Michael Dorn (Worf), Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi), Sid Haig (Captain Spaulding), Doug Bradley (Pinhead), Gil Gerard (Buck Rogers in the 25th Century),
I saw the 1966 TV Batmobile – it was bigger than I thought
I saw the Back to the Future (1985) DeLorean – it was smaller than I thought
There were rows of stalls, like a market, full of comics
It was like being at a Halloween Party and seeing awesome costumes
While it was impossible to talk to many stars, I was able to tell Mercedes McNab that I was a big fan of her character Harmony on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel
