I was most disappointed when Alice Eve was not cast as Emma Frost in X-Men: First Class. She is a delight to gaze upon and is a pretty good actor.
Fear not fellow fans of the Eve. She is boarding the Enterprise for J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek 2. She is still in talks, but according to Variety a deal is almost done and she will be playing a character who is new to the Trek Universe.
Benicio del Toro, whose deal is also pending, is Abrams’ choice to play the villain and he is looking for another villain, someone who’s older to be more of a supporting character to del Toro. Who would that make del Toro’s character? A Klingon, Khan or somebody else?
Teresa Palmer and Hayley Atwell also auditioned for the role that Eve won.
Production is expected to start in early 2012 with Paramount planning to release the pic on May 17, 2013.
I can’t wait for some new Star Trek.
