Buckaroo Banzai joins Star Trek 2

J J Abrams is busy getting the cast for his Star Trek sequel sorted out. The main crew are all back, he wants Benicio Del Toro to play the bag guy and Alice Eve is in for a new character.

According to Variety, Abrams has also got Peter Weller for the film.

The fact we have the man who played Buckaroo Banzai and Robocop joining the sequel is very exciting news.

There is no word on what role he will be playing.

Any ideas?

The film is due out in May 2013.
