I finally got to see Ben Wheatley’s twisted tale of a Hit Man’s descent into…somewhere last night and was no disappointed.
Starting off like a British kitchen sink drama it slowly dropped teasing bits of strange madness that gradually built up and up until, like Michael Smiley’s Gal and Neil Maskell’s Jay, you had no idea what was going on only that it was brilliant and messed up. All in the very best ways that only British horror can do.
It was also surprisingly funny in places with some great dialogue and acting.
I won’t tell you anymore as you need to know as little as possible about the film before watching it. I highly recommend you watch it when the film is released on Blu-ray and DVD on 26th December.
