Leslie Nielsen’s Frank Drebin was comedy gold – Police Squad and The Naked Gun still make me chuckle although the sequels do suffer from diminishing returns.
It looks as if Frank’s son will carry on from his father in this new six episode video game. The bad news is that the it is written by Robert LoCash, writer of The Naked Gun 33 1/3.
Years after the events of the original films, a crime wave has overtaken the city, and there’s just one man who can stop it – Lt. Det. Frank Drebin Jr.! Bringing the strict “no-nonsense” professionalism inherited by his father, Lt. Drebin and his team of I.C.U.P. agents (International Crime Unit Police) must work together to solve the case and bring down a global crime syndicate.
Judging from the trailer below the ICUP is the funniest joke they have.
