Mark this one up as a who would have thought it.
Variety’s Jeff Sneider tweeted the following.
Sneider is usually very reliable and when asked if he was joking he said “No.”
Jose Padhila is directed the Robocop reboot and, up until now, there has been no word on who could possibly play Murphy. I had never considered Crowe for the role. However, he is a good actor and, if he was involved, then he would bring in the general public.
As Sneider mentions Crowe is also being considered for Darren Aronofsky’s Noah. Ironic as Aronofsky was once attached to the Robocop reboot.
Both films could be shooting at the same time so who knows what will happen.
