It has been a long time in development, but we finally have our new Robocop. The man destined to be a crime fighting cyborg is Joel Kinnaman (The Killing, Safe House).
I have yet to see him in action although word from those who know say he is a great actor.
It will be interesting to see how he fares in Jose Padhila’s remake of the 1987 classic.
This is a project I am excited about especially after seeing Padhila’s Elite Squad: The Enemy Within. That dealt not just with high action, but also political intrigue and corruption which is a major part of Robocop.
How do you feel about Kinnaman getting the role?
