Batman is the Robocop villain

For a while it appeared that Hugh Laurie was going to be the bad guy in Jose Padilha’s Robocop reboot. Turns out that was not the case.

Instead we are going to see Joel Kinnaman’s Murphy going up against Michael Keaton (Batman, Beetlejuice, Night Shift). Great news as I feel Keaton is a great actor who has not been in enough films lately. He will be playing OmniCorp’s CEO and joins Samuel L Jackson and Gary Oldman. Quite a good supporting cast. I just hope the final film is worthy of them all.

“Michael is the final addition to the amazing cast we have assembled for this film, and it is so great to have the last puzzle piece in place,” said Padilha. “It is thrilling that everything has come together to bring this innovative new vision of RoboCop to life. We’ve got a great script, a great cast, some killer ED-209s, and I can’t wait to get Alex Murphy back on the streets.”

How do you feel about Keaton being cast?
