A Magnificent Death from a Shattered Hand – Thomas Jane’s new film

Thomas Jane rocks. That is my opinion and it should be yours. He was the best Punisher, he made swimming with sharks in Deep Blue Sea cool, he has written and worked on a few comics (Bad Planet), Hung, Boogie Nights, had terrible things happen to him in The Mist and so much more. Oh he was also part of the Vegan Police in Scott Pilgrim Vs The World.

For his next film, A Magnificent Death from a Shattered Hand, he has also gone behind the camera to direct.

Jane’s business partner, friend and comic book artist, Tim Bradstreet, has put together the top poster for the film which stars Jane, Nick Nolte and Jeremy Irons.

An ex-soldier is relentlessly tracked down for the murder and rape of a well-to-do woman. He must face mercenaries, tribal warriors, and women of sin to clear his name and uncover the true story behind the manhunt.

Jane describes the film as Gothic Western and went on to say “My intention is for the movie to utilize themes that characterize the classic Western films – their exploration of rugged individualism versus civic duty, of personal valor versus the violence of pre-civil worlds – to create a film that works on the level of rousing entertainment.”
