Dust of War

Dust of War is a low-budget action yarn set in a post-apocalyptic American Frontier, where a soldier fends off a brutal warmonger to rescue a girl fated as the savior of humanity.

Shot on location in the South Dakota prairie and in the Badlands, the film stars Tony Todd (Candyman, Final Destination, Hatchet), Doug Jones (Pan’s Labyrinth, Hellboy 1 & 2, Neighborhood Watch) and Gary Graham (Alien Nation, Robot Jox).

Director, Andrew Kightlinger, describes the film as “Mad Max meets Terrence Malick”, combining the effortless savage beauty of nature with loving homage to Buck Rogers, Star Wars, and of course, Mad Max.

I am not sure about the Malick comparison, but this does look very interesting with some great genre actors in the mix.
