Taken was a classic piece of action movie greatness. Taken 2 was a bit pants.
The sequel did make a nice bit of money at the box office (almost $375 million worldwide), so it stands to reason a third film would see the light of day.
Liam Neeson has been convinced to dust off his certain set of skills once more to the tune of $20 million. When someone is offering you that much money you can understand why he is willing to go back to the role that he had already said he was reluctant to return to.
Luc Besson and Robert Mark Kamen are writing the script, and deals are in the works for the return of Maggie Grace and Famke Janssen.
The power of the almighty dollar does get things done and the movie industry is a business.
As long as they try and mix up the formula a little bit and make it better than the second one I would be happy to see Bryan Mills go hunting for someone once more.
How about you?
