Knight Rider film moves closer to the streets

KITT2000Most of you will know of Knight Rider – David Hasslehoff as Michael Knight, K.I.T.T., turbo boost jumps. There was also a more recent revamped version of the show, which slowly disappeared into the night.

We thought that was the last we would see of K.I.T.T. but it turns out that a movie version of the show is slowly gaining traction the Weinstein Co.

They have got filmmaker Brad Copeland (Wild Hogs, Arrested Development, Coffee Town) to write a draft of the script.

The film is being conceived as a somewhat higher-budget, more action-oriented movie than the TV show.

As Copeland has a lot of involvement with comedy I imagine there will be a few more laughs in this one. Needless to say, The Hoff would like to be involved.

The question is what kind of car would they use and how can they make it more dynamic considering Google and other companies are working on driverless cars and you can speak to your phones and Kinect?

Maybe they could have K.I.T.T. as a computer program that can jump from one vehicle to another.

With the current popularity of the Fast and Furious films there is a good chance this will do well.

What would you want to see in a Knight Rider movie? What car should they use?
