Tarsem Singh does make amazingly visual films. They may not have the best story (Mirror, Mirror I am looking at you), but there is always something to catch your eye and make you go “Wow!”
The Fall is probably the best example (get it on Blu-ray and just bask in the gorgeousness of it all), but Immortals also looked lovely although I am still not sure whether I enjoyed it or not.
His new film, The Panopticon, could have a lot of potential.
Story follows a seemingly ordinary man who receives a mysterious package containing a pre-recorded message from himself, warning that the world is about to end and only he can save it. He must race against the clock to piece together the puzzle before time runs out for mankind.
It is still early days on this, so there is not casting news as yet.
Craig Rosenberg (“After the Sunset”) is writing the script.
