It is no secret that Clint Eastwood likes music and musicals. Hell, he even sang in Paint Your Wagon. Great film, check it out. That is one of the reasons why he directed the movie adaptation of the musical, Jersey Boys.
The film serves as a biopic of Frankie Valli, Bob Gaudio, Tommy DeVito and Nick Massi and their hit singing group, telling the meteoric tale of how a group of blue-collar boys from the wrong side of the tracks became one of the biggest American pop music sensations of all time. They wrote their own songs, invented their own sounds and sold 175 million records worldwide – all before they were thirty.
John Lloyd Young, Erich Bergen, Vincent Piazza, and Michael Lomenda star in the film which is due out on 20th June 2014.
